Caption 1: Pius Weibel, Champaign County Board Chair; Kevin Settle, State Board of Education member; Mike Marron, State Representative and former Vermilion County Board Chair, and Becky Densmore, Vice President, Midwest Region, AdvancED / Measured Progress; were recognized with Friend of Education awards for their support and contributions to education, by the Area 4 Regional Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents.

 

Caption 2: State Board Member Kevin Settle, Mt. Vernon, accepts the Area 4 Friend of Education Award from Mark Jontry, DeWitt-Livingston-Logan-McLean Regional Superintendent.

 

Caption 3: Becky Densmore, Vice President, Midwest Region, AdvancED / Measured Progress, received an Area 4 Friend of Education Award from Mark Jontry, DeWitt-Livingston-Logan-McLean Regional Superintendent and Jane Quinlan, Champaign-Ford Regional Superintendent. Ms. Densmore has supported regional offices of education in continuous improvement planning and earning AdvancED accreditation. Champaign-Ford ROE 9 was accredited in 2016, and DeWitt-Livingston-Logan-McLean ROE 17 is one of ten ROEs who are currently seeking accreditation.

 

Caption 4: Pius Weibel, Champaign County Board Chair, has served on the Joint County Board Education Committee for ROE 9 for six years. Jane Quinlan, Champaign-Ford Regional Superintendent presents an Area 4 Friend of Education Award to Mr. Weibel for his support of ROE 9 and education in the region.

 

Caption 5: Mike Marron, State Representative, 104th District, receives an Area 4 Friend of Education Award from Vermilion Regional Superintendent Cheryl Reifsteck. Mr. Marron has also served as Vermilion County Board Chair and supported ROE 54 and education in Vermilion County.
