URBANA — Children, parents and educators gathered in the Urbana Early Childhood School Thursday evening to celebrate the institution’s 50-year anniversary.
Assistant Principal Katie Madigan said the event aimed at marking the impact and history of UECS
Madigan said the school started emphasizing the early education of children before it was well-researched or mandated.
“It’s important because this school is recognized in the state as a leader in early childhood,” she said.
