After receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from educators across the region, the Champaign-Ford Regional Office of Education #9 is bringing back its “Math Mastery: Supporting Successful Instruction in K–8 Classrooms” professional learning series for the 2026–2027 school year.
The year-long series, which first launched during the 2024–2025 school year, quickly gained traction among teachers for its practical approach and meaningful impact on classroom instruction. Participants highlighted increased confidence in teaching mathematics, stronger content knowledge, and access to ready-to-use strategies as key benefits of the program.
Building on that success, this year’s Math Mastery series will once again provide K–8 educators with structured opportunities to deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts while refining instructional practices. The program is designed to support both new and experienced teachers, offering a collaborative environment where educators can share ideas, explore innovative teaching strategies, and address common challenges in math instruction.
Sessions will focus on breaking down complex math concepts into student-friendly approaches, fostering engagement through hands-on strategies, and equipping teachers with practical techniques to enhance classroom management and maximize learning outcomes.
The series will run throughout the 2026–2027 academic year, with sessions organized by grade bands from kindergarten through 8th grade. Meetings will take place at the ROE #9 Media Center, with multiple session dates scheduled in both fall 2026 and spring 2027.
Math Master aims to continue strengthening math instruction across the region by investing in educators and fostering high-quality learning experiences for students.
